In the morning walking tour with a private guide, visit Piazza Napoleone where you can admire the Palazzo Ducale and Teatro del Giglio, the Romanesques Cathedral of San Martino with the renowned sarcophagus of Ilaria del Carretto (a masterpiece of funerary sculpture) by Jacopo della Quercia and the Piazza Anfiteatro, built on the ruins of the ancient Roman arena, and one of the most picturesque landmarks of town.
In the afternoon free time. You can either visit the Villa Gunigi, which houses the National Museum Guinigi, or take a walk around the imposing Reinassance walls sourrounding the city (4km)
At 7:00 pm
transfer from the hotel to the open air theatre - at the end of the show transfer to hotel
