Puglia & Basilicata
One of the lesser known but incredible destinations of Italy can be found in the heel of Italy’s boot. Puglia is renowned as a site for archeological findings as well as for its cuisine and scenic beauty, its castles, cathedrals and pristine beaches found among the little towns and villages. Trullo huts, conical shaped dwellings built in the 1800s, are unique to the region, and the Trulli in the town of Alberobello are part of the UNESCO world Heritage sites since 1996. Puglia is the allure of Italy and the natural calm of the Mediterranean wed in paradise. All are welcome to the honeymoon.
The southern Italy region of Basilicata offers an amazing opportunity to view an ancient Italy on a different order.
