Last Supper by Leonardo

CENACOLO VINCIANO - CHURCH SANTA MARIA DELLE GRAZIE - THE LAST SUPPER

Leonardo Da Vinci’s world-renown fresco, whose restoration completed in 1999, after 20 years of work. As each of the single characters, from Christ to Judas, from Bartholomeo to Simon, reveals himself with a slight glare, a suggested movement, or a thoughtfully arched eyebrow, this incredible painting reveals itself as having not just the power of a painting, but also that of a moving image. The positioning of the characters within the fresco corresponds to the signs of the Zodiac, revealing Leonardo interest and attention in astrology.
