The tour starts from the peculiar Central market zone, characterised by its workshops and multicoloured stalls, where the Medicean Chapels, and Basilica di S. Lorenzo, the church of Medici’s Family, are located. In a short time you can reach Piazza del Duomo, where you can admire the Cathedral* (inside visit) and its dome by Brunelleschi, the bell-tower by Giotto, Saint John Baptistery with its Paradise Door. GALLO NERO - Monday tour (when the museums are closed)

Leave the town on Monday, when most museums and shops are closed and enjoy a day in the Black Rooster region! This is a very selected itinerary, away from the tourist routes, along one of the most suggestive roads joining Florence to Siena. In the morning, you will stop in Monteriggioni, the best maintained medieval walled town, set on a small natural hillock. Later, a genuine lunch will be served in an authentic farm where “making the wine” is still the main activity. You will visit the wine cellars and taste 3 Chianti wines during lunch. On the way back, you will stop in Greve in Chianti, a lively and busy town characterized by an unusual triangular piazza lined with porticoes.
