FESTA DEL NODO D'AMORE
(The Love Knot celebration) every third Tuesday in June

Where: Borghetto di Valeggio sul Mincio (Verona) 16 km south of lake Garda

Partake in the annual celebration of the 700 year old Legend of the Tortellino of Viareggio. Have dinner on the bridge over the river Mincio. Here, as ancient legend has it, the impossible love between the nymph Silvia and the captain Malco took place. She gave him a knotted handkerchief and this symbol of their love is forever remembered in the shape of tortellini. This is a 4000 people event and includes a historical parade.
