ELENA BERNARDI I was born and raised in Italy, in a small town in the province of Vicenza. I ended up in San Diego in 1994 through a student exchange between the University of Padua and the University of California in San Diego. I studied political science and art. I worked for two years at the Italian Government Tourist Office in Los Angeles and in 2002 I founded Cultural Italy. It was my way to bring my knowledge of Italy to people traveling there. I wanted to give tourists the opportunity to see a good production, to avoid lines at the entrance of museums, to have somebody waiting for them at the airport, good guides to show them Italy's treasures, and overall I wanted to help making the experience easier, more enjoyable and richer. I've been studying and practicing yoga since the year 2000 and I teach at the recreation center of the University of California in San Diego. I feel lucky as I have a creative husband and an adorable dog. I thank all the people working at Cultural Italy (in front and behind the scenes) for their passion, hard work, and for making all of this possible. Namaste. |

ROBERTA ALBERT Born and raised in Italy, I bring my Italian flare and passion for life to travel planning. When not helping create magical trips I spend my time with my other passion, teaching yoga. I love offering others the wonderful experience that the practice of yoga can create for a person physically, mentally and emotionally. Inspired by my intention to share my knowledge of yoga with others and to create a local yoga community in Pacific Beach area, I founded Bird Rock Yoga in 2003. I feel that traveling can offer the same type of awakening and enhancement for a life. Italy is an amazing country, rich in so many aspects that a person is forever changed after a visit. I love helping plan an amazing trip and then hearing the change in a person when they call me to thank me upon returning. I can't wait to show you all Italy has to offer. |

ANTOINETTE FILIPPONE I am first generation Italian American with a great passion for my Italian heritage. I worked for many years organizing Italian classes at the Italian Cultural Center of San Diego and being part of the San Diego Italian Community. I started traveling to Italy at a young age, spending my summers in Porticello, Sicily, where my parents were born. I lived for 6 years in my husband's hometown Bassano del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza. I speak fluent Italian, Sicilian and English. I am a proud mother of two amazing children, and I still travel to Italy every summer to visit family and experience the art and the culture. My personal favorite Italy spot is the Dolomites; truly like no place on earth and once witnessed in person a sight never to be forgotten. I love to help clients explore this amazing country. I know your time is valuable, both when planning the trip and while in Italy. I have many great ideas about how to maximize your time in Italy and look forward to helping you. Your journey awaits! |
