The classes take place in the medieval town of Sorano, in southern Tuscany, inside the imposing Orsini Fortress. Exhibitions of international artists and art lectures are also organized at this school. All the workshops have an open space for working outdoors. The centre of the village and the accommodation are at short distance from the school. All courses, except for the advanced ones, start at a basic level, and therefore do not require any particular previous experience on the part of the pupils. The teaching staff consists of specialized instructors, art masters and professional artists. All materials and tools are supplied by the school and are normally included in the cost of the courses. Lessons have a duration of 6 to 8 hours a day, depending on the course. The neighbouring countryside offers a lot to explore: a few Etruscan necropolis, the medieval towns of Sovana and Pitigliano, the rocky settlements of Vitozza, Lake Bolsena, the thermal baths at Saturnia, the neighbouring towns Viterbo, Orvieto and Tarquinia.

Accommodation
Accommodation can be arranged in apartments with other students, walking distance to the school, Euro 37 in double room or Euro 57 in single room per day per person, or in a nice farmhouse (double, triple or quadruple rooms,) located about 2 kms from the school.
